December always feels a little extra special when you have kids. The days are colder, the nights feel cozier, and there’s this quiet opportunity to slow down and make memories together.

As a mom, I consider myself in charge of making my daughter’s childhood magic and FUN —not in a big, over-the-top way, but in the everyday moments that she’ll remember long after the season passes.

That’s exactly why I created this December Bucket List for Kids.

I wanted something that would help us enjoy the entire month of December, not just one holiday. Something that felt fun, inclusive, and easy to use — without the pressure of making every day feel “Pinterest-perfect.”

While we love celebrating special traditions, I also wanted a list that included plenty of non-Christmas-themed activities so any family could enjoy it, no matter what you celebrate.

This bucket list is filled with simple, kid-friendly ideas that encourage connection, creativity, kindness, and cozy winter fun. Some activities are perfect for staying in, some get kids outside, and others are just about being together and enjoying the season as it is. There’s no right or wrong way to use it. You can do one activity a week, one a day, or just use it as inspiration when you’re not sure what to do next.
